Appleby wins as Tiger restores pride Down Under

Australian Stuart Appleby finished with a six-under 65 to win the Australian Masters title as defending champion Tiger Woods restored pride in the final round on Sunday.
Woods also carded a 65 to finish fourth, but it was Appleby who took the title after a birdie-birdie finish to overtake overnight leader Adam Bland. Appleby finished on 10-under 274 to beat Bland, who fell away with a two-over 73, by a stoke. Australian Daniel Gaunt was third at eight-under 276 with Woods a further shot back after his last day heroics.
